I’m Renesito Avich, a musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Santiago de Cuba, dedicated to keeping tropical and traditional music alive. Music has been my passion since I was a child, and it has taken me on an incredible journey—from my roots in Cuba to stages around the world.

 

I’ve been honored with three Latin Grammy® nominations:

• 2022: Best Traditional Tropical Album for Café con cariño.

• 2023: Best Instrumental Album for TRES.

• 2024: Once again nominated for Best Tropical Song for Baila y Goza, a song I co-wrote with my great friend Rafael ‘Pollo’ Brito.

 

I’m currently based in New York City, where I’m part of the Broadway musical Buena Vista Social Club, bringing the magic of Cuban music to the stage every night.

 

In addition to performing, I continue creating and sharing my music with a growing community of over 100k followers.

Right now, I’m excited about my upcoming release, Viva Celia, a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Celia Cruz, featuring the iconic Willy Chirino. I can’t wait to share it with you!
